Kold King was founded in 1938 in the Pacific Northwest with a simple mission: to build better insulated doors. Eight decades later, that mission continues—driven by modern engineering, advanced fabrication, and a customer-first mindset.
Family-owned and proudly rooted in our community, we’re led by President Enrique Rubio, a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience at leading manufacturers including Genie Industries, Polaris, Permobil, and Key Technologies.
Raised on a 200-acre apple and cherry farm, Enrique knows the importance of reliable cold storage for growers. That hands-on understanding guides how we design and build every Kold King door—strong, dependable, and built to perform season after season.
