Build to Perform. Engineered to Last.
Our Story
Proud Heritage. Bold Future.
Kold King began in 1938 in the Pacific Northwest with a clear mission: build better insulated doors. Eight decades later, that mission still drives us—now powered by modern engineering, advanced fabrication, and a customer-first mindset. As a family-owned company, we’re proud of our roots and the communities we serve.
Our president, Enrique Rubio, brings over 20 years of mechanical engineering experience from world-class manufacturers including Genie Industries, a Terex Company, Polaris, Permobil, and Key Technologies, a Duravant Company. Raised on a 200-acre apple and cherry farm, Enrique understands the value of hard work and the critical role cold storage solutions play in supporting farmers and growers. That perspective shapes the way we design and build every door—strong, reliable, and built to last through every season.
