Manufacturing Office Manager

As an Office Manager you will provide proper administrative support to the company. Your role is to support the areas of human resources, accounting, supply chain and customer service. The right person will also have experience assisting with manufacturing support functions.

This role is responsible for administering HR related programs in accordance with the policies of the organization, managing employment related activities, which include onboarding, employee relations, safety, various reporting, and leave administration. This role will manage day to day function in the front office as well as support production with inventory needs and parts needs.

The Office Manager should have a leadership mind set and a drive to grow in the areas of manufacturing and operations environment. In this position you will use independent judgment in performing your daily responsibilities. Major focus on updating our social media as well as updating our customer relationship management (CRM).

Primary Responsibilities

  • Onboard employees and administers safety training within company policies.
  • Assists in compiling any plant specific policies and maintains manufacturing manuals and reports in the proprietary system.
  • Ensures that job descriptions are updated annually and provides local and regional salary information to assist management in determining appropriate rates of pay.
  • Prepare monthly production reports, cost reports, and account reconciliations for corporate management.
  • Oversees office operations to insure excellent customer service, compliance, internal controls, and the general efficient office/plant operations.
  • Inventories and authorizes the purchase of office supplies.
  • Process payroll, including verification and accuracy of hours worked; review and approve PTO requests.
  • Input accounts payable invoices; review and approve for completeness and accuracy.
  • Enters deposits in the system against customer and vendor invoices; manages aging reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets and personal property.
  • Create forms and spreadsheets as needed using available computer software programs.
  • Perform other tasks and/or duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

Required Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge in accounting procedures, strategic planning, human resource functions, payroll processing, employee supervision, and general office practices required.
  • Demonstrated skills in decision making, verbal and written communication, and organization required.
  • Proficiency in operating a computer to store data and generate reports using standard word processing, spreadsheet, and database software programs.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations or willing to learn

Job Type:

  • Full Time

Pay:

  • $16.00 to $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift / Flexible
    Monday to Friday

  • One location – Yakima
